KAST is a non-profit tech association that is passionate about connecting people, businesses and their innovative ideas. Since 1998, they have led the Kootenay region’s economic development through tech and innovation.
Powered by KAST and delivered in partnership with Volition and Spring Activator, the Kootenay Investment Challenge is a 13-week program designed to learn the 'what, why, and how' of approaching early-stage investors while getting the unique chance to work directly with them.

90-min Masterclasses designed to provide startups with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to develop, deliver on, and effectively communicate their plan to undertake a seed capital raise. Topics include Sales & Growth Plan, Marketing, and Pitch & Presentation.

In addition to the training, all startups have access to tailored 1:1 business advising from Volition’s Business Advisors to work on polishing their pitch and prepare for the following Pitch Events or to receive guidance on a topic/pain point of choice.
